6 Puffy Handmade Polymer Clay Rose Cabs

Pick your choice of 6 different shapes or mix and match. You can choose from diamonds, hearts, rounds, teardrops, triangles or squares.

These cabs are great for making rings; just glue them to an adjustable ring base or wire-wrap them. I’m sure you can think of a hundred more ideas!

You get 6 Rose Cabs sanded smooth and glazed.

Each cabochon is 9mm thick. They range in size from about 10mm (for a round) to about 15mm (for a teardrop or heart) to 21mm (for a diamond). If you need more specific measurements, just send me a message.

Each cab has been triple sanded for a smooth finish and coated with glaze for a little shine.

I only list the highest quality handcrafted jewelry and supplies. Each one is carefully inspected for perfection (As perfect as possible considering they are handmade).

I make all my own polymer clay canes which are used to create the beads, cabs and jewelry you see listed here on Etsy. Browse through all the listings in my store to get a feel for what designs I have available. If you want a different color, shape, size or quantity, using any pattern you see, just contact me through Etsy or email Shauna [!at] SellART.org.

Three cups and three saucers stack wildly in this Alice in Wonderland-inspired centerpiece vase. The vintage bone china comes from Europe. Each piece is scouted & selected individually before we drill it by hand and assemble it with hardware made in the U.K. We believe we’re the first to attempt these unique, couture-style tabletop indulgences. Question by Free Stuff in 2012: Agnostics, how do you feel about wearing jewelry that depicts symbols for a religion you do not follow?

Agnostics, how do you feel about wearing jewelry that depicts symbols for a religion you do not follow?

I do a lot of costumed events and I frequently where jewelry for religions that I do not follow as part of the costume/character. Just recently I started seriously being aware of this fact and it gave me pause. I wanted to know how other people feel about it.

Examples:
I have a handmade silver rosary with a crucifix blessed in Rome that was given to me by a catholic former girlfriend. I occasionally like to wear it because it is beautiful and it reminds me of the good times we had. I am not a catholic and never have been.

I have a sterling ankh with cartouche (supposedly) imported from Egypt given to me by an follower of Kemetism (Egyptian Reconstructionist Paganism). We are close friends, and I know that the pendant meant a lot to him before he gave it to me. I do not follow Kemetism.

I have a handsome brass and copper Vodun Veve of Loa Agwe (protector of sailors and travelers) that I wear when I dress like a pirate. I know that it is consecrated because I did it myself. I am not a Houngan.

Theses are just some examples. Part of what has made me aware of it is that when I am wearing these symbols prominently people of that religion (or that choose to oppose that religion) approach me to talk about the symbols. Though I do not follow these religions, I NEVER wear something that I do not have some knowledge of; my crowd was big into wearing symbols, logos and flair designed to make a statement or draw attention, and we distained logos or symbols just for their popularity.

Personally, I am a Henotheist. I accept that there may be other gods, but I only worship my god. My god does not mind that I wear symbols of other religions, but I am not entirely sure how the other gods feel about it.
In answer to the question about why I did not just ask this question once with lots of belief systems at the beginning (or none): I have found in the past that if you do not target one belief system (or non-belief system) in the question a lot of people skip it. Also, if you put too many belief (or lack of belief) systems in the question it becomes a distraction from the question and many people do not bother.
I am more interested in hearing people’s opinions than I am worried about mildly annoying a few people.

Question by Linux User: Will women buy handmade jewelry made by just some “boy next door” like me?

Is it strange?

My girlfriend and I are “rock hounds”. I know she loves certain stones. We both can identify minerals by sight. I decided to buy her some natural stone bead necklaces, ear-rings, etc. The cost was very high for those made with quality natural stone beads.

On a recent trip to China, I saw every kind of bead you could imagine. Some were dyed, or fake, but many were clearly natural stones. Some were costly others were not. I purchased enough to make about 10 necklaces (about worth). I made her some jewelry. She loved them. I started making them for her, and some other female friends since last November. They loved them. Some of my drinking buddies asked me to make them for their girlfriends.

We know a girl that has a boutique. She wants to sell them in her store. She is only asking 15%.

I know quite a few “good’ designers who now work for exclusive brands that are recognised worldwide.
They all started their amazing careers as ‘the boy next door’.
It looks as if you have talent as you already have a boutique interested in promoting your work. So, just let the creativity flow.
